Excellent, especially when dining in! Tenders were right out of the fryer, all the sauces were on point, the Mac and cheese were great.
The fries were... meh, standard fare. But doesn't matter because the important part (the chicken) was top notch.
I got medium spice level but didn't really notice any spice, but also I like spicy food, so will probably try the AMF spice level next time I'm in.

If an upbeat atmosphere in a clean dining area and friendly service gets you in the door, then THIS is your place! Juicy Shack Bites, spicy chicken tacos with a very fresh salad, and DELISH chicken and waffles (with whipped butter, syrup, and powdered sugar!)…YUM!!! Various sauces and a range of heats to choose from as you order in the walk-up line. Great family dining!

Our first stop here but it won't be our last. The chicken strips were huge plumb juicy breast meat cut long. I was nearly full after just one strip. The Mac & cheese was so good my girl was searching for the recipe online. I was surprised at first by the environment. It doesn't come off as counter service quick food. But it's great and we'll definitely return!

Let me just say from the entrance telling you how to get into the building to the food and staff everything was incredible! I’m hoping like every new business in this town this one stays true to what it gave today I’ll be sad if they go downhill! The waffles were perfectly fluffy with just a tad bit of crunch which I love! The Mac and cheese was oh so gooey and creamy and so so good and I’m extremely picky about my Mac and cheese but this one’s in my top 5 favorites. Chicken strips were phenomenal it’s nice paying for fresh food and not bagged and frozen being passed off as fresh. The margarita swirled with the sangria was the coldest one I’ve had in the BCS area and the girl behind the counter who took our order and made my drink just so darn sweet along with the gal who checked on our table and cleared it. I’ve definitely found a new spot but just for the sake of chicken and waffles don’t change nothing about this place id love to see it stay exactly like it is so I can return in the future and leave just as happy tipsy and full as I did today

The Cookshack College Station opened in November 2021 and is the new spot to go. Their Nashville hot chicken is great! They have different levels of spice and I prefer the medium although the hot is also good if you want some heat. I liked the mac n cheese and the fries were just okay, a little too salty. I’ll be back to The Cookshack!

A new experience at College Station, if you are looking for some good and inexpensive food then this is for you. The ribs were magnificent, the meat wanted to fall off the bone, the chicken tenders were mouth watering. The Mac and Cheese, oh my, it was just goodness. Staff was very helpful in assisting what to get. The price was reasonable. We will be back!!!

Found this place while driving around and we were pleasantly surprised. Parking is easy, location was clean. Staff was very friendly. There are not many variety on the food pretty much tenders or sandwiches but they were great. Medium heat is actually hot. Fries were delicious and fresh. The strawberry margarita was one of the best I ever have. I will be back.

Went for the first time tonight for a birthday celebration. Chase and all the staff were super friendly, great advice on food selections, and kept everything clean.
I haven’t eaten Mac and cheese in a long while, but the Sleazy Chicken was fantastic! Definitely stop by! Well worth it!

It’s like a combination of my two fav fast foods. The sandwich tastes like Urban Bird sandwich and the Kale Salad is almost as good as Chick-fil-A’s. They both taste so good. The bread of the sandwich is so spongy and buttery. The seasoning of that salad is spot-on. I think it’s got some mint in it which provides some kick and makes the whole thing interesting and refreshing. But both are slightly too salty for me. I’ll still give it a 8.8/10. It’s in the top 10 on my US restaurant list for now.

Really good! In fact, it’s a contender for my favorite fried chicken in town. The only undecided winner so far is Mess Waffles. The Cookshack has a different vibe and feels more like a lunch or dinner spot, while Mess is the perfect breakfast place.
Alright, who am I reviewing again? Right. The Cookshack has some great options, and my wife and I went for the Chicken & Waffles. I chose the hottest seasoning they had—pretty sure it was ghost pepper—and yeah, it was spicy but didn’t make me miserable. There was a lot of food, and it definitely filled us up. My wife got mac n cheese with hers and really enjoyed every bite.
The cashier was nice and attentive. The atmosphere is great for a lunch or dinner date. Plus, they have large booths, which we really appreciate.
